Long Term Care, what does a good comprehensive
plan cover?
Long Term Care is an insurance product that has been marketed
for the past thirty one years. At one time Long Term Care
Insurance only covered care in a Nursing Home. Today Long
Term Care Plans cover you in many different settings, which
you choose at the time you are ill and trigger the policy.
Good comprehensive plans would give you the following benefits:
- Home Health Care, care in your home or care in the home
of a friend or a relatives home. The care should include
homemaking benefits as well.
- Adult Day Care, care in a community day care facility
for those who are cognitively impaired. Allowing afflicted
people to live at home and allow the people they live
with to lead a normal life.
- Assisted Living, care in one of the many assisted living
facilities that will provide help and meals for those
who need some help in their activities of daily living.
- Nursing Homes Care, care in a Licensed Nursing Home
that provides full medical care for those who require
