The agent I am dealing with only sells for one company. How will this effect my choosing a proper Long Term Care Insurance plan?

If your agent only sells one plan, he or she is restricted in providing you with a choice of different plans. While the plan that your agent is selling may be one of the best plans, it might not be the plan for you. In the three years I spent as a career agent for a major insurer, I found that in some cases we were not able to insure some people that other companies would insure.

If I were purchasing a Long Term Care policy, I would ask the agent how many plans they represent and which one they recommend for me and why.
