Long Term Care problems Solved
Ask the expert, Dennis H. Lentin
Can I believe what the Long Term Care Insurance agent tells me?
As a general rule whatever an agent tells you must be in written form, in
the insurance company’s policy literature.
When you purchase a Long Term
Care Insurance policy, the writing agent is required to give you, at the
time of purchase, an outline of coverage. The outline of coverage has been
prepared by the insurance company and has been approved by the state that
the policy is being sold in. If for any reason an agent does not provide
you with an outline of coverage, I would be very suspicious that the agent
is trying to hide something from you.
