Long Term Care problems Solved
Ask the expert, Dennis H. Lentin
I remember the last President of the United States signed a bill that required the Federal Government to come up with a Long Term Care Insurance plan by October of 2003.What is this all about?
President Clinton signed a bill that requires the Federal Government to have
in place a plan for all Federal Employees by October of 2003.
We do not know
what company(s) they will use. We do not know what the criteria will be,
and we do not know what benefits will be provided.
This will only affect
you if
you are a Federal Employee or possibly a Federal Retiree.
If the Federal
plan is anything like the few group plans that already exist, you will
not improve
on what is now available privately.
How will your health be in 2003?
We know that it will cost more because you will be two years older and
Long Term
Care Insurance is age sensitive.
