Long Term Care problems Solved
Ask the expert, Dennis H. Lentin
After the recent attacks in New York and the things that are coming in the mail I wonder if I would be covered under my Long Term Care policy, if I was a victim of any of these Terrorist activities?
Most if not all policies have provisions for acts of war. If you have been
injured as a result of an act of war the policy will exclude care that is needed
due to that act of war. Terrorism is something else; I have not seen any policy
that excludes injuries that are caused by terrorism.
As an example, if one of the people that have been affected by the Anthrax
attacks needed care and triggered their policy, they would receive the care
they needed in accordance with the coverage’s of that policy.
