The Ten Reasons People Do Not Buy Long Term Care Insurance
Over the years we have seen thousands of people who have been interested in
Long Term Care Insurance (LTCI). Some purchase LTCI and some do not. In most
cases we have found that the reasons that some people, who should purchase
LTCI, do not purchase this type of insurance. By reading the following list,
you will see some of the ridiculous reasons that some people actually believe.
- I will die in my sleep when the time comes.
- My children will take care of me, they like changing adult’s diapers.
- I never knew anyone that needed care in their latter years.
- I will never go to a Nursing Home; someone will help me kill myself.
- I will give all my money away and then the Government will take care of
me.
- Me get sick; don’t be silly, that happens to other people not me.
- I will not spend $ 2500.00 per year to protect my $300,000.00 in savings.
- I am just to busy to think about this, call me three months before I get
sick.
- I can’t make a decision like this without my children permission.
- I am not old enough I have to wait until I am eighty.
To all of you who are reading this information, I ask you to read the above
list and think about it. For your information in the past two years the average
LTCI purchaser has changed from the average age of 72 to the average age of
58.
Do the young baby boomers know something that their parents don’t know,
or are they just facing reality?
Please bear in mind that Long Term Care Insurance is not for everybody. LTCI
needs to be affordable and a specific plan needs to be designed for you. What
is good for you neighbor is not necessarily good for you, and visa-versa.

needs analysis to be preformed by a Long Term Care Specialist.
