Long Term Care problems Solved
Ask the expert, Dennis H. Lentin
I live with my sister; we will take care of each other. Under these circumstances should I consider Long term Care Insurance?
There is a great deal of information missing from your question. The following
things should be considered. How much do you and your sister weigh? How old
are you and your sister? How healthy are both of you and how are your finances.
I know that you love each other and want to care for each other in a time
of need, but you are not getting any younger or stronger. Remember that one
of you will most likely pass away first and then what?
Yes, you both need Long Term Care Insurance unless you have enough funds to
pay for care and are not concerned about leaving an estate, or you have very
limited funds and will let Medicaid take care of you in a facility.
